The Ghana Tourism Authority which is the main regulatory body of Ghana tourism will on the 21st of September which happens to be the birthday of the first president of the Republic of Ghana, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah commission the new Odweanoma Paragliding field in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The Odweanoma Paragliding field which has been in existence over the last 20 years has been upgraded to a more modern facility to meet the demands of tourists who which to use this recreational facility all year round. The new facility saw an expansion of the take-off point to handle 4 tandem gliders for launch and the construction of a VIP lounge and provision of permanent canopy stands for people visiting the facility. This new facility will help improve tourism in Kwahu which is noted for paragliding but mostly through the Easter season.
